Good Grades And Good Prizes

Our son made a deal. Now this kid is pretty smart. We thought we had him. But hey, this really is a win win deal. So if our son made brown belt before the end of the year, we would buy him a new bed. Okay, we wanted to motivate him. Brown belt, karate, takes a lot of work at this level. Surprisingly, he did it. Now, we are looking on line at those overstock companies. They sell great kids beds at discount prices. We were lucky - a incredible hulk bed was listed and our son loved it. We win, he wins, and so the does the incredible hulk!

Contemporary Shower Stall

I have been looking at all of the latest bathroom update magazines and would love to have a new contemporary shower stall. They have stalls for the shower that don’t even have doors, and yet they keep the water in the shower and not all over the bathroom floor. I love that you can choose different kinds of glass for the doors if you do decide you want to keep a shower door, and they can tile the inside of your shower to be very modern looking and sleek. One thing I have noticed a lot is that a lot of people are using more color in the bathroom as well.

Writing a good cover letter

Are you looking for a job? If you said yes, chances are you need a good resume and just as important you need to know how to write a cover letter. A cover letter is intended to tell the employer exactly why he or she should hire you for the position. It needs to make you stand out from the rest of the crowd and make the employer question why they shouldn’t hire you. A well thought out cover letter could mean the difference between sealing the deal or being simply overlooked. It’s basically the first impression you will leave in their minds and if it’s not memorable, you likely won’t get a second chance.

Karaoke

One of the more popular ways of providing entertainment for your party is to have a karaoke machine.  You don’t even need to know the words as they come on the screen and you can sing along using your mic and amplication system. For the more adventurous why not use the full karaoke system. The amateur singer can be helped along singing their choice with a reduction in volume of the original vocals.  Ever dreamed of singing on stage, wondering what it would be like, then karaoke gives you that chance. This often turns into an enjoyable hobby for those who like to entertain at home.  Often they buy karaoke equipment for use with friends and family.

Is it hard to run your car on water?

Let’s start off with a question. Is it really that hard to run your car on water? I’m going to be honest. It is NOT really a walk in the park, and this is true no matter what guide you get. There are some good products out there. But the technology itself is kind of complicated, and even though you don’t really have to worry about damaging your car, it will take you a long time to put everything together. If you are a mechanic then you will probably find this to be a pretty interesting project. Otherwise, you may not like it so much.

what’s renewable petroleum?

I have a composting bin in my basement.  I give my worms food scraps and they turn my food scraps into incredible fertilizer that I can use to grow food.   For me, that’s been pretty exciting, however, I’ve just learned of technology that can now take waste products like wood shavings, straw, and pretty much any organic waste product that can be turned into sugars when broken down (which is a lot of things) and when it’s fed to genetically modified bacteria, it turns these waste products into something that’s been in the news a lot lately – black gold, otherwise known as renewable petroleum.  And this stuff is pretty much ready to be poured into a gas tank as soon as it’s produced eliminating the expensive and energy intensive refining process.

Getting stared at makes me nervious

Last month while I was getting into my car in an underground garage I had this eerie feeling that someone was watching me. I turned around and saw this man that I recognized as someone I saw at the gym upstairs. He had been staring at me while I was exercising earlier. He wasn’t doing anything threatening, just walking very slowly and staring. I got in my car and took off and I was okay. But the idea that this guy could be trouble worried me. I asked my husband, who is a cop, what would be a good weapon for a lady to use that would not do lethal damage. Knowing that I don’t like guns, he suggested something smaller and yet effective. He said he heard of a Keychain mace that you could carry with you very easily and have access to it when you need it. I felt much better going to the underground garage once I had this handy little Keychain mace.
