There are some essential steps to risk assessment. The hazards or consequences are to be identified, those at risk are to be identified, the risk is to be evaluated, the risk is to be minimized or eradicated by introducing control measures, the control measures are to be monitored, and the control measures are to be reviewed. As the Health and Safety Risk Assessment procedure starts the work activities and workplace is broken up into small units. After this process the hazards are identified. There are different types and levels of risk assessment. There is one risk assessment for poor lighting and one for workplace transport. There are specific risk assessment issues.
