Shiny telly show not a hit with the Americans
The Office is a funny comedy TV series, well known in the UK. The programme became so popular that the our American friends wanted to launch their own interpretation of the show to suit American fans. Unfortunately, the US fans didn’t quite take hold of on to the wittiness and fun the writers were attempting to make. Essentially The Office is about a bunch of staff who work in an business office together in a not so presentable part of London. It centres on their ridiculous boss who is incompetent at managing his staff. There are plenty of laughable moments by the Water Coolers as well. Shame it didn’t catch on in the US.
