The Art of E-mail…2
If you’re constantly on the Internet, like I am, then you probably send out and receive a lot of emails. Emailing someone is a quick and really effective way of communicating information. For instance, I just sent my grandmother a mother’s day card, which she received yesterday afternoon. Instead of mailing me back a handwritten letter, she sent me an email as soon as she got it because she was so excited. It’s just that simple and just that quick. Now, there are some critics out there who will tell you that sending someone an email is on the border of being rude because, after all, who doesn’t like receiving an actual piece of mail in their regular mailbox? Well, the good news is that email hasn’t totally taken the place of regular mail, but it has definitely had an impact on the number of people who prefer to email over writing. It still holds true that if you want to send someone a personal letter (such as a love letter or anniversary card), then email is NOT your best bet; doing it by hand shows that you care more.
