Vamboozled
My husband and I finished building our home about two years ago, and are amazed at how often we get called to refinance our mortgage. Because of a declining housing market and slowly decreasing interest rates, mortgage companies call us at least once or twice a week, trying to convince us how much money we can save by refinancing. By now I just have fun with the people who call. I answer the phone by asking if they have permission to be up this late, or say “I didn’t do it; you can’t prove anything!” Sometimes it will stop them in their tracks.
