The instant reaction to heartburn pain and discomfort – to reach for the heartburn remedy you bought at the drug store or supermarket. There are millions of these available and obviously generate millions of Dollars a year in sales. For the occasional case of heartburn they will relieve symptoms and the person will not suffer another attack for maybe another few weeks or months which is not unreasonable.heartburn treatments However for people like me who suffer constantly it is a different matter. Drugs prescribed by your doctor are really not much better. They may be more efficient at keeping symptoms at bay for longer but there is a catch. Most of these cannot be prescribed for more than 12 weeks.
