How to stop your cat from spraying
Spraying is a cat behavior that is mostly unwelcome in the home and can be changed with appropriate cat training. Cats spray to mark their territory, so it is simply a natural thing for them to do. One way to discourage this behavior is to buy a bottle pheromone from your local pet store or vetinarian clinic or supermarket. It is a synthetic cat spray and is odorless to humans, but cats can definitely smell it. If your cat thinks another cat has marked out its territory, then it won’t be so likely to do the same thing in the same space.
