Happy to Have Gutters
An integral part of a house is its roof. The roof is comprised of sheathing which is nailed into the rafters. Shingles are laid on top of the plywood sheathing, and every good roof should have a ventilation system to keep the air circulating inside the attic. House gutters are also an important part of a roof system, though not every roof has gutters. Our last house did not have gutters. The water instead rolled off the roof and pooled near the foundation. Our new house, however, has gutters. The challenge is keeping the gutters free of leaves and sticks so that the water can flow properly through the gutters, down the spouts and away from the house.
