During my senior year of college I took a finance class, and we had a portion of the class that was focused on the effects of credit on our daily lives. Our professor told us that most employers run a credit check before offering someone a job, and that caused us to sit up and take notice. I went home and checked my Free annual credit report, and it had a few blemishes on it. I didn’t realize that the late payments on my car would be right there for all to see, and now I make it a point to pay my bills even before they are due.
