Knitting With Grandma
When I was a child, my grandmother always promised she would teach me to knit. When I turned 14 years of age, she took me on the front porch and showed me she had bought me my own knitting set. From there, we spend one evening a week knitting. It was our bonding time. She made things for me and I made things for my family and friends. When I had my first child, my grandmother showed me how to knit baby blankets, like the ones she made for me. After she passed, I decided to carry on her legacy and show my own child. This has become a tradition in our household that I hope my child will carry on.
