The speed of the blades in a Blender food processor

Food processors and blenders are similar in their functions, but differ from each other in many ways. There are numerous factors which determine whether a device is a food blender or food processor. This article discusses the major factors which describe the differences between these two devices. A food blender is more suited to working with juices or other liquids. Blenders are often called liquidizers because of this. The speed of the blades in a Blender food processor can be extremely fast, approaching the speed at which automobile engines operate. This allows the blender to turn solid fruits into juice in a short amount of time. Food processors, however, are used with solids and liquids and process the food into a usable form, such as making flour into dough for bread.
