Identity Theft Is Usually Mail Related
One of the ways idenity theft occurs involves your mail. Most of us get a lot of junk mail and some of that junk mail is pre-approved offers from banks and credit cards. When you get that kind of mail you should shred it rather than just throwing it in the trash. This kind of mail is what ID thieves use to change your address and ultimately get your mail sent to them. They then can slowly start to take over your identity as they gather more and more of your account numbers and information about you. It is a hassle to do but being vigilante about all your accounts and shredding all mail with account numbers on it is something every person should be doing.
