Spicing Up A Sermon
As the daughter of a preacher, I am familiar with the preparation that goes into a sermon. I can still see the image of my father at his undersized desk with his rickety desk lamp, spending hours handwriting his sermons. Of course, he retired from preaching in 1991, so computers were yet to prove their usefulness. Technology has modernized many industries, and preaching is no exception. My preacher, like most other preachers, types his sermons in a convenient word processing program like Microsoft Word. Also, he often includes stock footage and video clips in his sermons to illustrate his points. It’s very effective at making a point.
