Start a blog and then monetize the blog for a second income
If you have a passion for a particular topic then why not start a website to share your interest with others. Software is freely available and you can even use free hosting to avoid any upfront costs. If you build a consistent readership base you can even start to look into ways to monetize the blog. Some people that have developed a large readership base have gone on to create substantial part time or full time incomes. There are many like minded people on the internet and it is just a matter of doing some promotion and building up a regular readership of people who are interested in your topic.
