Another One Bites the Dust
The team was concerned that we were not going to get a conviction. Prosecutors desperately need to get convictions on a regular basis if they want to keep their jobs. Not only that, but we all loathed the sight of the defendant. He had confessed to molesting a child in jail, but the judge threw out the confession as coerced. We knew that the court records were not going to show the sly look on his face, and that is what made it worse. The final day of the trial came, and we were able to get him to confess. It was a great day.
