Sports Psychology: Track II
Track II of the Masters in Sports Psychology allows the specialist to both work with athletes and teach and research Psychology. With a bit of humor, I imagine the Track II Sports Psychology graduate as the Indiana Jones of athletics: a serious, professional, almost nerdy (yet adored by his students) college professor one day, and a seizer of adventure out in the field the next. This would be an ideal track for someone who enjoys working with people yet also has an intellectual appetite. A Track II specialist, like a Track I specialist, would get to work with athletes, but would deal more closely with the psychological aspect of the field on the academic side.
