Recently my parents computer was giving them a lot of trouble.  It was slowing down and loading applications at a snail’s pace.  It was incredibly frustrating for them, and for good reason.  It was almost impossible to use the computer in its current state.

I told them that they should try a Windows XP registry repair tool.  These programs are able to scan the registry in just a few minutes and then remove the source of the errors with the click of a button.  There are several ways that the registry can get damaged and cluttered.  One of the most common ways is the incomplete uninstallation of software and hardware.  This often leaves files behind in the registry where they can become corrupt or conflict with newer files.
