Destination: Anywhere on Earth?
My husband is very, very organized, especially when we’re traveling. He is always ready for any possible emergency. After fifteen years of marriage, I’m used to it, but it wasn’t always like that.
The first trip we planned together was our honeymoon in Italy. I packed a cosmetic bag, two suitcases, and was ready to go. My husband pulled out four suitcases and a steamer trunk.
Curious, I asked him why he needed all that. He opened a trunk filled with enough travel products to prepare us for anything from famine to flood. He had wash and wear clothes, travel electronics, and had actually found pills which claimed to purify salt water. Just in case we ended up in a life boat.
Fortunately, I didn’t laugh, which is good because, over the years, we have dipped into the “travel trunk” more times than I care to remember.
